TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN

Simple maths.
Honest expectations.

Litres purchased × price difference

A 3¢ change on a 45-litre fill means $1.35. Fill before an increase or after a decrease to pay the lower price, if you can comfortably shift your fill-up.

One weekly fill. Three ways to time it.

For every Friday in your period, we compare the prices in effect Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Ideal timing buys on the cheapest of Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The other routines always buy on Friday, or randomly choose Thursday or Saturday. Every cost difference is compared with ideal timing, using identical weekly litres.

Midweek interrupters affect the prices in force, but don’t create extra fill-ups. This model assumes you can shift each weekly purchase between Thursday and Saturday. It doesn’t track fuel remaining or driving range. It uses hindsight, not a prediction service; extra trips and time are excluded from the historical totals.
